I am a 23-year-old young designer residing and based in Pretoria. Originally I come from the Free State Province.

After completing my matric at Christian Brothers College, I went straight to tertiary to study Fashion Designing. I started in 2002 at Midrand Graduate Institute with a BA in Fashion Design, then went on further to complete a B-Tech at the Tshwane University of Technology. After graduating from Tshwane University of Technology where I had written my dissertation on ‘climate change and its impact on fashion’, I had the opportunity to drink tea with Minister Van Schalkwyk of Environmental Affairs and Tourism who had an interest in my dissertation and encouraged me more in my area of interest. He also hightened my awareness and the applicability of my dissertation on the most topical issue for now and the future being ‘climate change’.
